Im rocking a Larue MBT-2s in my build. Comparable to the SSA-E in my dads gun for half the cost.

Im actually sitting in my room dry firing my new Arisaka right now. It has like a 9 pound, yet crisp 2 stage in it. Gonna take a bit to get used to during competition.

Definitely talking about you, but this could apply to anyone that has no formal training.

Rosco (out of Rhode Island of all places) makes a nice barrel at the lower end of the pricing spectrum, IMO.

 Buy a nice trigger for $80 and learn how to use it before you dump $850 on a barrel haha.

Those came down a lot in price since I got mine when they first came out.

Project Appleseed is as good as it gets for a "run what ya brung" marksmanship course. All you need is a good 2 point sling and a gun+ammo. Events all over the country teach the fundamentals of Army Marksmanship.

Curious how the Larue compares to the ALG ACT trigger. In terms of feel. I haven't used the Larue.

Random question, but how does someone actually calculate torque spec while using hand tools? Like if I change my LBJ's this year how would I know besides just snugging it up what torque to be at? ( just have heard of people fking new lbj's from overtightening)

Kid you not, I've done a lot of things on my Chevy's by "feel"...muscle memory develops after doing stuff so often.

On the Tacoma though, I pull out the torque wrench.
