    Because umami :)

kinda like why stock is better than salted hot water I guess maybe?
it’s good u should try it lol.
Come to think of it, a person with a 2 tray air fryer could roast some duck parts on the top tray while some potatoes with apples or onions or garlic or daylily buds or something roasted below in the drippings

I'm not a fan of duck is the problem.
I've had a few times and is either not prepared correctly...or is just to oily/greasy for me.

It's kinda like dark meat. And I am a white breast type guy

Duck needs to be toasted on a spit for me. Fat melts off, taste is great, crispy skin.

Tried the air fryer chicken tenders tonight. They are pretty good. Not nearly as greasy feeling as the normal ones. Only like 8 in the bag but they were all good sized.

In this case (as a cooking oil) oily/greasy is exactly what is required :)

An air fried grilled ham and cheese!

    IMG_20191209_180207700.jpg

360 for 5 min then flip and 5 min more... Until your desired level of doneness!

Rye bread with ham and Provolone and Colby Pepper Jack on this one!
The outside was buttered and Parmesan cheese and black pepper

Yeah roti is a great way to do duck. Only thing is you have to pluck the damn things when you do that and it takes forever to pull feathers. I usually just skin them. If done correctly, and trimmed correctly, they are awesome. If not then they are less than stellar. And then there are mud ducks LOL.

OH yeah..........I made mashed taters and within said taters plenty of grated dry aged gouda..........oh hell yes

The chicken was roasted last night. Fat preserved. Then fat on skin (on top) reheated chicken @ 400°F in air fryer. Marvelous.

That's brilliant!! I bet the schmaltzed chicken skin was amazing!

I use sour cream to make my mashed potatoes, but I add a packet of ranch dip mix (or my homemade version) to the sour cream first... Cheese is a must! Gouda is a great choice.. I personally have never had the dry aged Gouda thanks the idea!
