So I have had a revolverx2 on my 2016 Tacoma more less since new. So almost 4 years now. It was doing really well at first, and has started to degrade more quickly over the past couple years. The first thing to go was the felt in the underside of the cover. I don’t know if it is the humidity here that sped up the process but once it started to come off if went quickly. I connected Bak and they have a kit for sale to replace the felt.

next was the bigger issue. The top. I have religiously cleaned and cared for it by using 303 on it every 7-10 days. It does live outside, so the sun takes its toll. The vinyl began to shrink, mostly near the tailgate side and started to pull the edges away. At first it was minor, and then it seemed to get exponentially worse. It really seemed to shrink faster once it started to move away from the sides. Now there are perforations and both sides have pulled away fully and the aluminum is exposed. It is curling away from the tailgate and the sides and doesn’t lay flush at all. It is curling upward and toward the middle. Will post pics when I get a chance.

did anyone have similar experiences? Is the x4 any better? I really like the function of the cover but not sure if I want to buy another if it only last another 4 years.
