After research I decided on going with ome 887, Bilsteins 5100 all around and rear 1.5” add a leaf.

My goal is to get about 2” after settling in the front and 1.5” rear - slight rake but I plan to put camper and i tow so it will level out.

is there anything else I need. I know ucas are good to have... do I need extended shocks or brake lines. I am under the impression a diff drop isn’t needed until after 2.5” lift as well as the needle bearing. Do I need longer u bolts???..
Also any particular aal that’s better to give me close to 1.5” without going any higher?

    many tips/ advice welcome.

The 3 leaf AAL from wheelers, icon, or headstrong all come with new longer u bolts and center pin so no worries about that.

The rear standard 5100s should be just fine for the 1.5" lift. Front sounds like a good setup. Just try and get UCAs soon like JBAs or spc. No diff drop needed or extended brake lines unless you plan to get a better leaf pack in the future that can flex a bit more.

Are you planning on installing everything?

I was gonna have one the local shops here do the install.

Anyone know which aal will yield close as possible to 1.5”? I see some of the aal are at 2”....

Will the back 5100s bottom out if I tow a boat or should I go with a different shock for the rear?

Don’t get ome coils, they will sag. Spend a few hundred more and get Bilstein 6112s.

5125 has a bit more travel In back or get the extended 5100s

The three brands I listed that are the progressive AAL style will net 1.5" with the overload left out. And any shock will bottom out with some tongue weight if you hit a bump. Not an issue unless you're hitting washboard roads and hard bumps at 40mph.

Unless you want more articulation then there's no need to go with longer shocks or longer brake lines and that's for really rutted out roads and some mild rock crawling. For what you want to do just stick to standard 5100s
