Love watching this tow company go in to these places that others with no sense get themselves into.
    Enjoy!

I've watched a few of his vids, mostly stock trucks/cars going in too far, before they realize its too much for them or their vehicle..

I recently happened upon this guy's channel. Pretty funny stuff.

Saw one of a buried 5th wheel toy hauler. I was like there's NO WAY he's going to yank that out with his little Cherokee. But damn, it happened!

That cherokee is so not stock - heavier axles, lockers, and decent tires make a huge difference. Still, I'm amazed at some of the stuff he yanks out, that 5th wheel especially. I'm also really curious on his bumper setup. A receiver hitch with a pintle hook? You don't see much of that around here, but it sure seems to work.

I love how humble the guy is, seems to just roll with whatever happens and improvise on the fly.

Oh for sure, def not stock. I just mean from a weight stand point. You have a 4k# truck yanking on a 30k# rig.

I definitely don't "like" some of those hookups he makes. Seems he's definitely a tow truck driver turned off-road recovery driver. He uses those big open hooks, and multiple D rings daisy-chained together quite a bit = yikes.

And to do all that without a winch is pretty ballsy...

I think the key in making a lot of that work safely is the stretchy rope he uses. It really smooths out the shock loads.

That said, I think making more use of a winch would make his operation smoother, safer and cheaper in a lot of cases. That jeep takes a ton of abuse that could be avoided by just using a winch.

The dynamic ropes (snatch straps) are the shiznit for sure.

I do get the feeling that he's essentially just another redneck with a jeep and will pull you out of a ditch. He just wears one of those reflective tow truck driver shirts, lol.

Sometimes that's all you need, but there are a few of his vids where had I been there, I probably would have asked him stop because it seemed like there were safer ways to go about it.

Yeah. The one where he pulls the van out of the ditch that is up against that wall was not good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-lhRFsBMrs

    jesus.

stack some rock in the ditch, and maybe try not driving off the trail so much.

You see the one where he almost got himself stuck in the same place he drove out to pull someone out? That was funny.

I too think its a bit strange he doesnt have any recovery gear (other than his obvious chain, and 2-3 30ft stretch ropes), tools, ratchet straps, a bottle jack... none of it.. he prefers to do a double rig tow with a buddy, or another tow driver in another jeep cherokee.. I understand the dynamic of having too much weight in the jeep, but some of the stuff he needs to make his recoveries easier, are simple things... like a heavy ratchet strap, some basic tools, wrenches, and a jack...

    This.

Some of those, like that high centered 4runner, could have been done with a shovel and some traction aids, and maybe a jack (which he had!).

Kinda serves as a good reminder that many of those recoveries wouldn’t have been necessary if the owners had just brought with them a shovel, and a few basic items.

I'd like to see the unedited version of that video.
