Hey fellas; I have seen a few posts regarding the steps for activating and deactivating the beep/chirp when you lock your car with a fob, so I am not necessarily looking for them, but rather trying to find out what part # actually makes the beeping noise when you lock the doors, and where to find it in my truck.

Long story short, my truck came without keyless entry, but came with power doors, so "all" I had to do was install the door receiver module (such as this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2006-2007-2008-2009-2010-TOYOTA-TACOMA-DOOR-CONTROL-MODULE-30092105A/182730152968?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 ), buy some cheap keyfobs from Amazon, program it, and boom, now I have keyless entry.

In other words, I am assuming that I don't have the beep module because I also did not have the door receiver module (which in my head makes sense), but can't prove that because I have no idea where the part would actually be at (all I could find is that it is supposedly near the battery).

Any ideas? As always, thanks for all the help!

Edit: I think I am pretty close, just can't find the actual correct model for the 2014... https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-buzzer-switch-8974748020

Edit2: Though I am curious if the part above also wouldn't work, I think I got it: 89747-AC010; also wondering if I will need any wiring for this or not...

Did you ever get this figured out? The buzzer is the last piece of my keyless puzzle.

The black box, dead centre of attached, is the chime you speak of. Thank God I have mine disabled.

@JC15Taco Got my buzzer but now I'm trying to source the connector. Any chance you might be able to snap a few photos of the connector or try and see if there's a part number?

Will have a look when I get home today. Is the cable running to it on your truck?

That may be an issue...I suspect mine is in with the main wiring harness.

Yes I know that, but it's likely part of the harness, which you apparently don't have.

    There is a solution.
But I'm 100% sure the 2005 did not have the buzzer.

The wire that comes off the chime splices quickly into the wiring harness near where the fuel pump resistor slices in. Zoom in on the attached photo and you see that. Caribes post #10 on the far right is the connector though (white/black and the red).
    Thats all I've got.

@caribe makaira Where do you find those diagrams and how were you able to figure out the correct mating connector?

There's a Toyota Wire Repair Manual and research, plus the Electrical Wiring Diagrams for each year Tacoma...

@caribe makaira Ahh, I've got the 2005 manual which would explain why I couldn't find what I needed. Awesome, thanks! Is this all from TIS...?
