Long trip coming up

Hey everyone. I will be taking a 3200 mile trip from Jacksonville, Fl. to Tacoma, Wa. in mid Nov. I am going to take I-10 west to I-5 and then north. I just want to know what all there is to see with in short distance of these highway. I am trying not to spend to long because I only have 30 days of leave before shipping out to Japan for 2 years and I want to spend as much time at home before leaving. And before anyone ask, the reason I am taking these roads is because I don't want to be stuck in the mountains if it snows. Any info will be helpful.

 

There is a big cactus in Arizona between Tucson and Phoenix that has 3 off-shoots so it looks like a man standing there with his arms up and a huge hard-on..

Lot more to see and do on I-40. You won't hit alot of snow yet in that part of Texas if any but it could get icy. Cadillac Ranch is on I-40, The Big Texan in Amarillo, get yourself a 72oz steak to fuel you up for the ride,ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... You have Albaturkey and then Flagstaff. Hook a right in Kingman, shoot over to Laughlin, Needles and then up to Vegas or stay a bit south and head through the Mojave Desert.

Climb over Tahatchapie (I think there is still a woman's prison out there) also an aircraft boneyard.(military and civilian) That's where the old airliners are resurrected to become flying limos for Heads Of States of other countries and also private jets for bazillionaires. 747,737,DC-10 etc etc...

I know that puts you in higher elevations but I-10? Snoozefest...Once you get over Tahatchapie you connect with California 99 in Bakersfield or Barstow?... and then can get I-5 over by Stockton or Sacramento. I hope I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.
