Seems like a lot of people are worried about the design of the spokes. I took a 3 shots for perspective, first is lined up with the tire so you can't see the spokes, then 2 more pictures slowly moving outward. The spokes do not pass the tire even on stock tires.

I myself would like a set of 16". My current tires can be transferred over. Second reason for 16" rims is tires cost less. If there was no difference in larger tires then I might consider larger sizes. If I was to buy rims and tires maybe 17" would be a choice but I believe you need to start with at least a wider rim than 7" preferably 8", which gives you the option to use 285 with a lift if you ever desire. Second influence is my current tires and if I want to continue to use them. Last, do I want 2 sets of tires or just 1.

So marketing decided to sell 17" first maybe they feel more "sports" are sold than "off roads" or most Pro rims have been 16" and 17" would please more. Anyway I like 16" and the Pro style look and my pocket book prefers 16" tires.

They probably sold 17 first because there are 3x more tire size choices in 17.

Very close to pulling the trigger on a set of these. However, I am having a tough internal debate. Gunmetal or Flat Black on my 2020 Cement TRD OR Premium double cab.... Anyone have a picture of these in gunmetal on a cement colored taco?

Cement was my first choice! Either would look good but I personally like the flat black, otherwise you'll have different shades of Gray.

I would go black. I have the gunmetal on my MGM. I dont think it will look good on cement

Thanks for sharing, we appreciate all the feedback guys! I took some pictures up close for reference to show how the spokes sit in regards to the lip of the wheel. For future versions we will probably adjust the concavity to be more applicable for off-road use.

Bronze on Cement. Not a super common combo, but I think it looks damn good. Will post up some more pics with the center caps installed and a cleaner truck. Gross weather weekend here. Do not hesitate to work with Johnny. Communication from ordering, payment and shipping was great. Happy with the Cooper AT3 4S so far as well.

That’s a great idea! Thanks for appreciating suggestions from potential customers vs being defensive.

So the last several days I have been looking for 16" bronze wheels for a Tacoma. 17" bronze are a plenty, 16 inch are far and few between it seems like. I would think someone would get a corner on the 16". I know 17 is what several want, but is that because that is what is available in bronze? I have seen a lot of bad azz wheels in 17" but most 16" are :puke:in my opinion (most not all, current viewer, your 16" are awesome!).

Like I said, 17” are more popular because there are 3x more tire size choices for 17 vs 16. 16’s also have to be carefully designed for Tacoma’s specifically so they clear the brake Calipers.

Yes I read your post #426, but there are no shortages of 16" truck tire sizes either since they were around before the 17" became popular. The caliper clearance is a solid take though.

Instead of throwing out random numbers like "3x more tire size choices for 17 vs 16", lets look at the actual numbers.

Data from Tire Rack was collected as follows:
There are 95 17" tire sizes available.
There are 71 16" tire sizes available.
As you were not off by much my northern brother, there are actually 24 more 17" tire sizes available vs the 16" category. Closer to 1.338+/- times as many 17" tires sizes available.
    Not quite 213 17" tire sizes available as in 3 x 71=213 :hattip: :canada::oldglory:

Sigh. Ok professor, let me be more specific, so you can do some more math flexing.

How many of those 17" and 16" tires are in sizes that fit onto a stock or slightly modified Tacoma? Let's say 30" - 34" with a max width of 12.5" for giggles .... GO!
