Good afternoon TW! I have searched but not really found a definitive answer. I installed an Alpine ILX-W650 into my Tacoma, and have been loving it. However, I wanted to add SiriusXM back in since the new radio doesn't have it included.

So, I purchased the SXV300 tuner, and wanted to use the factory antenna that is wired down to the old radio already. However, I am having trouble figuring out what adapter to use to get the OEM tacomma antenna plug to fit into the SXV300 tuner. There are just a lot of different adapters, and I am having trouble finding one that will definitely work for Toyota. Anyone have experience with this?

Here are some examples of adapters I am seeing. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance TW.

    Example 1
    Example 2
    Example 3
    Example 4
    Example 5

EDIT: IF ANYONE RUNS INTO THIS PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE WHEN READING THIS, HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED. Fakra Z Male to SMB Female.

You're going to need a MALE Fakra to mate into female Fakra connector the Tacoma has and other end with an adapter to the Sirius Module antenna input.

You lost me... It seems like the FAKRA cable on the OEM antenna is the male cable. I thought I would need FAKRA Z female to whatever the siriusxm uses on their SXV300

Look at the center of the Tacoma antenna...there's an orifice...not a protuberance :D

I see both :annoyed:!!! Gah. Because the oem antenna cord (this) fits into an orifice in the OEM head unit... so I assumed the antenna cable was classified as male :frusty:

Where and how are you securing the module?

Probably going to put it on the side wall of my dash behind the head unit, secured with double sided 3M foam tape. Should be plenty of extra cable....

    Do you have another suggestion?

I thought the entune head unit had the stock XM tuner mounted to the bottom of the head unit. would that have just worked or am i all wrong. i did see pic's of the two units mounted together.

That be the "Firewall", I'd place on the pipe where the wire loom is held...

I have an aftermarket head unit... The stock entune head unit on the gen 3s has an internal module for XM radio though...

I'll look for the wire loom when I stick it to something. The firewall is to the left and right? I would have thought the firewall was straight away when you looked into where the head unit goes.
