If the wires are long enough to reach the sides then return to center, you'd be fine also...

Stick it in vicinity of the glovebox if you can. If you get an issue with the adapter or stock antenna you won’t have to pull the stereo back out to swap it out/fix it.

edit; I had one of the Sirius pucks crap out on me and it was easy to troubleshoot since I just pulled the glovebox and had access

NO problem. My question is already resolved. It is activated by default. You should just be able to change the source when you have XM signal. Assuming your oem head unit has SiriusXM

I was thinking about this and remembered something this morning... The XM Module is mounted to the bottom of the stock entune head unit. I recall it coming apart into two pieces when I sold my OEM head unit. It wouldn't have worked with an aftermarket head unit though because all of the controls would be lost. Nothing linking the old XM module to the aftermarket head unit.

I know I’m a few years off, but did that adapter work? I’m trying to install an Xm module
