I'm glad I accidentally bonked my awning off the clamps, by backing into my parking space for the first time. I hated the wasted space of mounting on top of racks, and needed to decide what to do about mounting recovery gear. I found this thread, and found their rack that mounts into my Thule tracks.

When I order, I'll ask them about if a fairing would help.

Nice to see one mounted on a 6 ft topper! It sealed the deal for my decision to get one.

    None yet!
Nice! Do you have any pics from the side? I hadn't liked any toppers on an access cab 6ft until that pic of yours above. I had resigned myself to going with a tonneau...

    Thanks,
    Rob

I recently upgraded to a double cab, but it has the long bed like the access cab. I’ll show you best of both lol. Pm me if you want more pictures or have any other questions. I second the X-Bull boards. Used them for a good while before buying proper maxtrax. I've even got a feature on their IG page

Funny, I had a thought about having my tent fold off the back and making a platform on my prinsu cab rack covered in astroturf as a "porch"

Anyone using OEM roof rack on the cab with prinsu on the camper top? I’m debating whether or not I’ll need to keep a roof rack on the cab section of the truck .

Yeah man same here and agreed run the cheap ones first and if you break them or need something better upgrade but my cheap ones have held up just fine.

Cool, so by break you mean the material just snaps?

It could under load or in the cold weather. Depends on material type and situation. Over extended or repeated use in cold conditions everything fails eventually. I have 3 different sets for different situations and as backup.

This guy does an unbiased comparison. I would think the biggest benefit Maxtrax would have over cheaper alternatives, is UV resistance, if you keep them on your truck full time.
