Yeah unfortunately think I might switch to AT for the few snows I see a year.
Not enough snow for me to buy dedicated set of tires, but enough for me to maybe "sacrifice" mud terrains the few times I'm in the snow and it sucks.

Meh, all terrains have suited me quite well.

They are quietER than the old M/Ts, but they are still far louder than my A/Ts.

For "light" (or even moderate) wheeling and street driving, M/Ts are overkill, and A/Ts are where it's at. I've never not had enough traction on anything except, well, mud, and I don't do a whole lot of mud, so I'm not too worried.

Not around here, mts are not well suited for the terrain.

Wish I had some MT’s on a couple weeks ago. Went to fetch a deer my wife killed in the rain down a pretty steep hill and couldn’t get out. Had to haul my tractor over the next day and have a buddy pull me out. 99% of the time regular ole Michelin’s do just fine for me, lol. That’s 160’ of large rope with the tractor on the other end.

Depends on the terrain of course. If it's wet all the time and you have nothing but mud, sure. However where I live, you actually have to go looking for mud a lot of the time. Even still, I've done a fair share of muddy stuff with my KO's and they've done okay. You'd be amazed what airing down a set of E rated tires does.

My next set will be M/T's but mostly because it's now a dedicated trails truck, so there isn't a concern of compromising on the noise/mpgs.

Yeah those factory(ish) all season tires are worthless offroad, even in the dry. At a minimum get some decent all terrains (KO2's, etc...).

Yup, I bet you wouldn't even notice that much of a difference in noise and mpgs anyway.

My old km2s were e rated and I loved them. Aired them down to around 8psi and they flexed great and I never had any sidewall issues.

Most of the reviews I've read over the last couple of years since the KM3's came out have said they are definitely quieter than before, but not KO or all season tire quiet.

And I definitely expect much lower (average) MPGs since it'll spend much more time in 4 lo than it did before. :D

I've had better luck with m/ts in deep powder vs a/ts.

Same here. Mts are terrible in light snow on the street.

Yeah, I think even an good all terrain does better in the snow. M/Ts tend to want to fling out mud, but because snow likes to stick to other snow, you actually want the snow to stick to your treads.

Deep snow that is. Once you get down to the soft wet mud/rocks, the M/Ts will probably be better.

Yeah I was just in Bend OR during the holiday snow torm. My MT's were AWFUL. I was drivin 5mph on a roundabout and could barely keep the truck on track. Just wanted to slide.
