Sorry I’m not sure where to post this but I’m interested in this bumper. Seller isn’t 100% sure this is for a Tacoma but believes so. Anyways I can get it at a killer deal but I want to know if it’ll work on a gen 2 Tacoma before I drive to get it

    thanks!

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
There's no way to tell for certain if it'll fit a Tacoma based on those pics. If you could get additional pictures, preferably of the mounting and attachment plates on the backside, that would be better.

Just looking at those pics - I don't think it is from a (2nd Gen) Tacoma:
    • The Driver's Side "Wing" appears to be notched-out for a fender/flare that sits lower than the bumper itself. Tacoma bumpers would not have (or need) that cutout
    • There are bolt holes in the center for a removable/bolt-on Stinger (center hoop). That is a very unique feature that I've not seen on any Tacoma plate bumper.
I found some similar bumper designs, but nothing that is a match for that one. Post more pics, if you can

Welcome to TW...Not necessarily junk, could be homemade. The welds will usually determine the quality of craftsmanship.

This is what the seller says.

Yeah I can snap ya a few pics of that. It’s kinda light. I think it’s considered a front plate/ bumper. The wench goes just behind it and the farling attaches to the outside of it.

I’ll update pics when I get them

That will be the best way to determine if it'll fit your Tacoma.

Here's a pic of a hidden winch mount I had mounted on my truck years ago. This shows pretty well what the mounting plates/bolts holes should like like.
    DSC06352.jpg

Holes 1, 2, & 3 are mounted on studs that stick out of your front support frame cross-member. Hole 4 uses a nut/bolt replacing the little wing "extensions".

Most plate bumpers will also need a side-brace that attaches to the frame.

Okay, weird shit. From the looks of it and the welds, it's a home-built bumper. I can't see any attachment or mounting points of any kind which is confusing.

I thought these looked like slotted holes, but after seeing the 2nd pic, that (should be) the recovery point welded on the backside. If so, I have no idea why those slotted holes are there, or if those are the mounting points.
    Screenshot_20191212-181554_Gallery.jpg

Also, I can't see any plate for a winch to bolt on. It looks like that plate is recessed to fit around an existing winch plate(?)

Hard to say what type of truck that was made for. But the pictures confuse the hell out of me. How does it mount?!
    :annoyed:

Sorry I can't be more help. But, if you can grab it for under $200, anything is possible with an angle grinder and a welder to make it work. :D
