    4 run, 2 don't
Should be safe; skinnier than 265/75/16 that people would run on a stock Tacoma.

    I run 235/85/16 myself.

You can run any tire size you want. It's just a matter of how much and when you are okay with it rubbing.

Have you tried searching for that tire size and seeing if other people have used it?

Thank you guys. It’s been a great help already! Still trying to understand how these forums work.. but if any of you are interested I have an evap system that is “ready” with a green check mark on the scanner. I do not have an evap system

Unless you removed the evap system, I'm pretty sure you do. But you 'd be throwing OBDII codes if you didn't have an evap system.

Tread lightly. 50 posts are required before listing items for sale. And trying to hustle the rules with the 'ole 'if any of you are interested' in a regular thread instead of listing in the BST forums?

    No bueno.

I ain’t trying to sell it. I thought y’all would be interested in how I managed no codes with taking the evap system out. Trying to help anyone with evap problems. I have a 50 gallon tank mounted on the bed no evap whatsoever

Wait wait wait, so I’m currently throwing a code for an evap leak and your saying if I just take the whole system out I will have no code? Or am I misunderstanding something here

Would love to know how you removed it with no codes, I’ve been trying To chase and evap leak for the past month and have tried everything. Would love to just remove it and move on

Recently fixed a check engine light problem by leaving the light on for so long it actually burned out.

Most people just put tape over the light to "fix" it.

235/85R16 on a bone stock suspension. On 2nd gen steel wheels no spacers. Turning left it could rub the frame a touch but not all the time. Nothing to be concerned about.

BFG AT KO 235/85-16 rubbed slightly and occasionally at full lock on my 2001 DC 4WD TRD. About 1 1/2 - 2” lift with OME kit fixed it all.

I like that size, and run it on the 2003 and 2015 Tacomas I have now.

I just installed BFG AT K02 235/85-16 yesterday on my stock 2002 TRD. Tiny bit of rubbing the frame in front, but I've got a full OME lift being installed next week that will cure it.

You should be fine. I had 235/85R16’s for years with no lift. They rubbed the frame at full lock when they were mounted on 2nd gen wheels. I found out 1st gen wheels had less backspacing, switched to those and had no rubbing even without a lift.

235’s are great. They’re tough, not too heavy, not too expensive and they look awesome on 1st gens.
