First thing going in/on is a lift and wheels/tires. Already have them all purchased. Went with the OME BP-51 full setup with medium duty springs in the back, 4Runner TRD pro wheels and 255/80-17 Nitto ATs. Unfortunately not going to be able to get it all in right away due to travel.

here she is fresh off (actually at) the lot

Lift in hand. Who knows when I'll be able to put it on.

Lift installed! It was a lot bigger of a project than I imagined. It wasn’t difficult, it was just my first time. Took about 7 hours for the front, 10 hours for the rear. Plenty of great videos on YouTube showing how.

The hardest part was getting these damn plastic guards on the rear shocks.

A few video reviews I’ve watched referenced how these guards would easily fall off. Those videos were about 2 years old, so hopefully they updated it. Given how hard it was to get these to snap into place, I would think they’ll never come off..

I will let you know, I will need to ride around on them for a month or so and make at least 1 trip with them.

So far the stance is awesome, install had some rough parts, and the factory pre-load setting is too low (5mm), so my driver side tire is rubbing at full turn (taco lean is real!).

Adjusted the pre-load to 15 mm on the driver's side and 13 mm on the passenger side. After an alignment, there is no more rubbing.

Also replaced the factory OR tail lights with some factory TRD Pro tail lights. Love it without the chrome.

Ordered a Leer 100XR with pretty much all the options. Sliding windoors, insulated, storage net, removable front window, and rails on top. The topper was a little over $3100 iirc.

After the topper I added an @upTOPoverland roof rack, and I have to say I have been nothing but impressed by it. Here it is getting installed by Micah and Drew in their shop:
    C85C71ED-B1DA-478D-8E10-639C259A6BE9.jpg

And here is a better picture of it on the trip I made that very weekend:

UpTop came in really clutch for me and were able to install it just hours before I left for my trip. I cant thank them or recommend the roof rack enough

Another thing I made was a dog/fridge platform that bolts into where the rear seats go.

Before my trip I also made a battery tray that holds 2 aux AGM batteries and a 2500W inverter. This tray is sort of a beta model so I only have a few rough pictures of it. I am working up to a full drawer build and will be posting more details on that when it’s complete. As is its now I just have this tray at the front of the bed underneath the sleeping platform and I have two slides under there as well until I get my drawers complete.

    6E4C4156-0C54-4D5A-BBB8-DA3263440967.jpg

The battery box sits snugly at the front of the bed above the wheel wells (long bed) so I havent really had any bouncing around or shifting. I will probably have a semi-permanent solution in the future involving rivnuts similar to @Scott B. (thanks for the idea!)

I have about 5,000 miles on the truck now and I have made two pretty good trips. The OME’s ride really well. I would compare the highway ride almost the exact same as the stock suspension, its really comfy. I was able to climb over some really cool stuff on my Mojave trip and it really impressed me. I havent adjusted the rebound or compression or anything. I’ve only set the pre-load in the front springs, and that’s it. I love em, and the 36k mile warranty is what really sold them to me. So far, no regrets. The only (expected) issue was some squeaking after about 3,000 miles in the rear springs. I read up on the forum and someone mentioned Motorkote, so I got some of that and havent had any issues. Here are some more pics:

    Glad to share!

For the record, the rivnuts are all holding - nothing has come loose.

    Nice build, good looking pups!

After alignment there is significantly less rubbing. I could probably go up to 17mm/15mm but the rubbing is so minimal its not worth it right now.. Next time I have a reason to take the front suspension out I will make the adjustments.
