    2020 toyota tacoma access cab sr model
    I am A retired navy veteran and now working for the navy at the Lemoore navy base. I love my Tacoma because my last one lasted me 13 years and still running strong. I own the SR access cab model with the 2.7 liter engine. I was told that the vehicle having 4x2 instead of rwd allows the vehicle to go into full traction vice just rear wheel traction. its nice to have a forum to find out different problems or concerns with a vehicle.

    Welcome to TW. Apart of me questions why you would want to work and live at NAS Lemoore, but to each their own. Couple hour drive from Pismo beach and several trails in the area make it good off-roading.

    * Edit
    Also noticed about your intro. The 4x2 = 4 tires 2 hooked to transmission. Rear wheel drive only. 4x4 = 4 tires with 4 hooked to transmission. The tacoma 4x4's operate at 4x2 until you engage 4x4 (high/low) allowing all 4 wheels to spin when skinny pedal pressed. 4x2 means your rear 2 tires are the only thing "driving" the truck forward with skinny pedal applications. Dealer is idiot.
