Happens more often than you think. I've had a window on a residential house focus light and burn holes in a redwood fence.

It has huge 25 foot tall floor to ceiling windows. It's across the street from the Hartford Civic center. When they remodeled the civic center they clad it in reflective glass. It looked really nice.
The downside was for a couple months in the spring and fall the sun would reflect off the civic center glass then hit our neighbor....an old red brick hotel...and flood our dining room with red light. Not so good for a steak house. We'd have steaks coming back left and right that were properly cooked but in the red light they appeared wrong.
The owners of the restaurant bought floor to ceiling drapes that could be opened and closed with a remote. I remember those drapes were like $50k.

Not quite catching the place on fire but a giant pain in the ass.

 

I remeber that trip report. Was wanting to go on that 1, never been in the Boca area. Seen the expected weather forecast, "this might not be a good idea"!
