We just installed a new clutch yesterday. It still had plenty of life left, but decided we would do it on our terms, not when stuck. Was $950 parts/labor with a full synthetic oil change, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and yoke. Was really surprised as were the wrenches on how much life there was left in the original clutch. They were even able to resurface the flywheel. They said it was ok without it, but I had them resurface it just to be safe.

I asked for a centerforce 2 and they talked me out of it saying they have allot of problems with that brand. I am thinking it is because people put them on high stress applications. Sold me a upgraded one, Power Torque was the brand. They gave me a 2 year 24k mile warranty on the entire job. $500 for labor, $350 for the part.

Dang. We should of waited. He was stalling it some and it’s much easier for him.

And for reference most of his friends can’t drive a manual. Getting to be a lost skill.

Even good driving in the city will wear a clutch much sooner then bad driving on a all highway mileage vehicle.

what do you think of spraying some nut-z lube on the inside clutch spring assembly, mine gets squeaky when its cold
it worked wonders on my squeaky and tight garage door so far and just curious if it might take some squeak out of the clutch pedal!

Id be worried about it getting on the flywheel surface.
