So, I got some 3rd gen suspension takeoffs for my 2011 Tacoma, front coilovers, rear struts and front UCAs.

In shipping one of the UCAs punched a hole through the side of the box and the boot separated but remained intact an undamaged. However, some dust is visible on the grease of the in the joint. So I'm think I need to flush the old grease out, replace it and reinstall the boot. My questions are:

    1. What kind of grease is in there now and what can I replace it with?

    2. Will flushing out the old grease with denature alcohol or something similar risk sending any grit (or alcohol itself) past ball/socket joint and into the upper portion of the joint?

    Thanks for any help!

Of course brake clean... I was in fabricator mode, Denatured is how I clean cold rolled steel for welding.

I was mainly concerned they used some kind of long life grease since they are non serviceable parts.
