How long does it take from Factory??

If the VIN starts with a 3 it is made in Mexico, If it Starts with a 5 Then it is a USA , J is for Japan. Are the last 6 characters all numbers, or numbers and letters?? if mix unit is not built, if all numbers then unit was built.

 

my pro left TMMTX and ended up in California... where it sat... and sat.. and sat..

Dealer ended up finding me another truck. The original finally showed up like a month later, which was 2 months after it left assembly.

 

Wow - You guys are impressive. My VIN starts with a 5 so USA then, that's good. My last 6 characters includes the letter B, so I guess not built. Also some of the VIN sites say Toyota SR5 Access Cab. My guess is that after the build is done Toyota trues up the info. I plan to call the inventory person on 12/24 and as her if there is any update.

 

My Unit had build date week of 11/23/2020, and just got call she had just came in!! She had a 3 that is usually Mexico, and she just got to PA!

 

Look for a 2 digit number before letter, that is usually the build week, IE mine said, 47. 47= 47th week of the year.

- Truck arrived from Mexico at Gulf States dist. (Houston) on Dec 1. Have a VIN.
- Still waiting for truck to arrive at Texas dealer
- Dealer said the vehicle “should” arrive at the dealership before Christmas

- I ordered a manual Pro for my daughter on the same day as my Sport and the Pro arrived in mid November.

 

Truly impressed with how everyone knows this stuff. My VIN says 50 so that is consistent with the 12/14 date the inventory manager gave.

 

Sounds like your daughter got lucky as the Manuals are built in cycles and can sometimes take quite awhile.

 

My daughter is lucky because I wrote the check for her Pro!

 

Stopped by the dealer today and asked for an update. Apparently the "build request" was submitted back in October, but Toyota hasn't yet accepted it. So once the request is accepted, THEN it'll apparently be 2-3 more months until it actually gets built/delivered.

2020 TRD Offroad 4x4, double cab short bed in MGM, with no options except a manual transmission.

They told me to call on Monday afternoon when the "ordering guy" is working to get a more detailed update.

 

If you dont hit the timetable just right on the Manuals then it takes awhile as they supposedly build them in bulk once every 3 months.

 

Same thing with the AT Army Green. I've been told its 2 months on and 2 months off. I put my order in September, but Toyota didn't accept it until last month. I most likely won't see it until February.

 

Depends on your state and trim + transmission you want.

The dealers here quoted 9 months wait on a non guarantee 2020 TRD PRO with manual transmission but a 5 months wait on a TRD OFFROAD. Both in Super White... I ended up getting a Army Green from out of state
