Speaker trouble 2016 tacoma

    The only reason I can think of is that there is a wiring issue thats sending too much voltage to the speaker. Perhaps make a trip to your local car audio installer (not best buy). Pick their brain a bit, you may need to pay for some diagnostics if you want them to get to the bottom of it. But they will just run with a multimeter and check voltages.


    One thing you could do, remove the other back door panel and speaker. Then turn on the radio and measure the voltage coming out of each of the rear speaker leads while playing pink noise. Both sides should give you the same or close readings.
