Put a new PS hose set in Sunsong 3401238 cost $87 from Rockauto and it was not fun.
    1. Pressure hose pump end I pulled the air filter plastic hose to the fender out for a clear shot with the extensions and breaker bar and 17mm socket. Filter 2 bolts are 8mm with 12mm heads.
    2. All 3 of the mounting 12mm headed bolts on the 2 hose assembly were a bear to break loose especially the 2 up front so a 6 point may help and not round them. Not much room.
    3. The rack end is also not a bear but a true bitch to get hands into the area so after I cut the return hose and yanked that off it allowed 17mm open end wrench to take off constantly flipping it over each tiny turn to get it out. My brake wrench was useless in there.
    4. Reinstall not bad and made sure the old hose had the o-ring still on before I put the new one on - left return hose off for more room till pressure hose on.
    5. Did the fluid exchange engine off, Tacoma up on jack stands, return hose in jug and then ran a1.5 qts thru of Dextron IV full syn till all nice and red. Reconnected and no leaks added a bit more fluid as pump sucked maybe an inch more out of reservoir.
    6. So allow 2-4 hours to do this from jack up to down unless you have a full auto shop garage!

I had to pull my 50lb (seems like it) All Pro 3/16" steel front skid off to do the hoses so it was time to sand/repaint it. As added entertainment while the skids off tomorrow I will change front diff fluid, all idlers and tensioner (OEM $300 from ToyotaPartsDeal), and a rebuilt Denso alternator ($117 Carid). At 155k now so it was time as I hate travel breakdowns so a big preventative maintenance guy. Then new Wildpeaks and TPMSs next week. Then wrap the hood and roof as clearcoat looks like crap. Already had new AC compressor done 2 years ago.

Doing all this cause I looked at new Tacomas ha ha, so keeping my 2009 for awhile.
If I bought new would have had to do same fixes as my 2009 replacing with better springs, shocks, and 1 piece TW shaft.

I hear you on the PM. My 2010 has 150k on it, hope it lasts another 10 years/150k. New trucks are nice, but so expensive!

I have not done any work on my PS but I have changed the fluid several times with Valvoline MaxLife. Not looking forward to dealing with pressure hoses or the rack.
