    Good Day!

I recently got a 2019 DCLB Off-Road, and I have noticed that when after I shut it off, and open the driver door, there is a buzz from under the dash that sounds almost like some sort of electrical actuator. I don't know if it does it opening any other door.

Doesn't appear to be anything wrong, just wondering what it is.

    Thanks in advance.

It's a retained power relay is my guess. If you notice, you can shut the truck off and still operate the windows until you open the door. Once you open the door it activates the retained power relay and kills everything. I believe it's on a timer too, so if you sit in your truck after turning it off, after a certain amount of time you will hear it.

That makes sense. Just didn't think a relay would make noise at all, which is why my mind thought actuator.

    Thank you.

Whatever it is, actuator or something to do with venitlation, it is normal operation and you have nothing to worry about.

It’s either your steering wheel locking, or an HVAC damper closing. Normal.
