It is a subtlety I didn’t care to point out. I figured if this argument got heated, it is specifically directed at the ‘Canadiens” (French speaking citizens) and not the rest of us “Canadians”.....so I could just walk away any time.

 

Free as can be. Just as long as I pay my all my taxes on time, to include my home that is owned "free and clear." Never leave the house without valid identification, should I need to prove my identity, check all local and state laws before making travel plans to avoid losing said freedom. The list goes on.

I can’t remember who the quote comes from, but human “freedom” is best defined as ‘the absence of fear’. When I see these people huddled in their gated communities with a glock pointed at the front door. They ain’t free. Not even close.
