3rd gen 5th wheel hitch ???

just out of curiosity is there a 5th w/hitch available for our trucks ? I'm thinking of getting a custom toy hauler built {a small one } and just exploring options ...

 

Not that i am aware of but i think the Honda Ridgeline can fit one ...

There is a 5th wheel setup, but apparently only w/ Scamp trailers

...but in the end, a traditional tow/trailer setup is much less work to ensure safety margins.

 

Sure, why not... a 5th wheel is far more stable.

 

Scamp 5th wheels are stupid expensive, wish they were cheaper cause I would love to get one.

 

I did come across this goose neck camper for a grand , needs some luvin but all the pieces are there and I could build a cool toy hauler out of it , and to put the photo into perspective , I'm parked parallel to it about 6 feet between , 16 foot camper … I can build a hatch/ramp and lose a lot of weight from the camper , KEEP IT SIMPLE !

 

Trashed the 5th wheel idea . Got a 1969 Rolite 1310 camper to restore and mod into a off road home . Put a straight axle under it w/brakes and weld up a rack for my trials bike and it'll be all I need .

 

I'm thinking if you were towing a fifth wheel,you would need another trailer behind it with gas barrels.

5th wheel is going to be nothing but problems on a Tacoma don’t waste your time and money
