Offroad ban?

I understand to some degree but no offroading in eldorado national forrest until april?!

 

lots of nf have seasonal closures. the more north the less likely as snow closes the roads.

its to keep from needing to rescue dipshits and to limit the trail damage with rutting when muddy.

 

eldo and tahoe are hard closures. tahoe for snowmobile season. can still park and snowshoe/xcski eldo.

plumas is open.
some of stanislaus stays open.

 

"Native Surface Roads also known as dirt roads", wtf? Not that I object but jeez, why not call a dirt road a dirt road?

Resource damage.
Up here on the Plumas and Lassen NF. Red neck radio out of Susanville mentioned some areas of the Lassen NF were closed to wood cutting for a few months, may see more Forests doing this.
Have not ever heard the Plumas doing it, they just won't issue wood permits after Jan 1 until conditions improve. Even with open roads, you could still be sited for resource damage.
