I looked at new ‘19 sport last summer and the dealer had it loaded with accessories but they also told me they had a 3” lift on it.

I decided I wanted to wait for the ‘20 anyway. Went by the dealer yesterday and they had another sport (2020 new) and I’m sure this one was lifted too. It was sitting beside a stock 2020 sr5 and the stance was definitely higher. It also had some black rims and all terrain tires (stock size I think). Looked friggin great.

Do dealers install lifts on new trucks often ?

Yes, but it would be included in the cost breakdown, dealers don't do such things for free.

    Also, they're usually cheap lifts.

Be very careful in reviewing the price breakdown of those dealer setups. My local dealer tacked on $10k for a rough country 3” with method wheels and bfgs!

From what I’ve seen they usually just add spacers and tack on an astronomical amount to the sticker for it. I’d avoid it and get a proper lift done yourself after buying.

Depends on the dealer, a Jeep dealer by me does insane lifts on their Jeeps. I’m talking fox shocks and warranties the lifts and all.

Get the part breakdown and ask for the specs front the installed equipment.
Because most dealers will use cheap crap just to make it look good.

Chevy dealer near me does the same thing. Big lifts, big tires, flashy wheels (basically an off the shelf mall crawler) and warranties the whole thing. They do charge for it though, that's for sure. It would be cheaper to do it yourself, if that's what you were after, but some people.

Anyway, yeah, get something in writing showing the cost breakdown and then compare that to what it would cost to buy the parts and/or have them installed.

Budget parts. Overpriced. Purdy boy mall lift and baller wheels/tires.

But you can get it 'financed', so they are fishing for a cash starved buyer. Only $15/mo more for the next 7 years.

And while they will tell you it's warrantied, it's NOT a Toyota warranty. It will be the warranty of the manuf. of the budget parts they installed. And no other Toyota dealer will honor that. Like if you move or decide to have work done elsewhere.
