I watched a couple of videos on youtube about how to replace the front side marker light bulb on the 2004 Toyota Tacoma. They said to be very careful to not break the plastic lens when doing this. I took the single screw out of the little black plastic bracket at the top, (op top of the plastic chrome grill part). as soon as I tried to ...VERY gently....move it at all, it immediately broke off of the light assembly totally. I had just barely put even the tiniest bit of pressure on it at all! So, the next thing was to take a wide blade screw driver to try to pull the light assembly out of the body, it wouldn't even begin to move AT ALL, so, as we tried, very gradually, to put a little more effort into pulling the light fixture out of the body, and not putting all that much pressure on light assembly, suddenly the lens part totally broke off of the rest of the light housing completely!, we never did get the actual light fixture out of the body at all, it would not even begin to come out!...so, now with the lens off of it, we put the new bulb in and then "glued" the lens back on with clear silicone. I don't know why it was so totally and completely stuck in the body, or why, with incredibly little pressure, both the black plastic tab, and the lens broke off of the rest of the light fixture completely. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I guess I could buy an entire new light fixture, but then how to replace it when the old one won't even begin to come out of the body?
