Wondered what happened

 

I’m still not sure. I went and looked it over last night but the majority of the engine is covered in cowlings. The best way to look at the engine is from under the heli. Obviously that’s not happening right now. There was a small bang, then a big bang, the nose yawed to the left and then I didn’t have power. Nose left yaw is always an indication of an engine failure.

I really wish I had a camera to show everyone how I dodged all those big power lines, there were so many and I managed to only hit two about the width of your thumb.

I’m loving the people complaining I broke the internet for them though, that legit made me laugh when I heard it

Hard to hold your breath, too! Remember we were talking about "glide", and I didn't believe you could? Did you use it all up dodging all the big stuff? Honest, man, ending up in the middle of that street, given the surroundings, DAMN incredible.

Your actions show the caliber of pilot you are. I’m glad all involved were able to walk away you even made the news up here. Once the ntsb is done I’m sure they’ll pinpoint the failure I’m curious about it if you are able to speak on it at that time.
