Have seen a lot of people post their windshields cracked on 3rd tacoma. Some feel the 3rd tacoma has a thin or weak windshield that cracks easily. Who knows for sure.

My wager is the shape and mounting has the glass under 'stress'. IE not sitting in it's bed in a relaxed position.

Glass in tension will break with minimal effort. Glass in a relaxed state is pretty resilient.

That's where im from too and i literally go through 3-5 windshields per year. Im very thankful progressive has a no deductible windshield replacement option or i'd have no money for mods lol

AZ seems to be hell on windshields... at least they got enough sand down there to make glass :)

Insurance claim. Depending what you have it may be a $0 deductible. That is what I have on glass.

Depending on what state you live in. If you don't have glass coverage where you live it's best not to go through insurance.

2000 miles, got my first chip. Pretty regular thing in CO. Of course on my way to Safelite this AM it spread so they can’t repair. Didn’t run any heat to prevent it but it still spread. FML.

I got a bug/rock deflector and it made a HUGE difference. I used to cringe my whole way down the highway because I'd be getting pummeled by rocks, now they rarely make contact.
I have the AVS Aeroskin II as well, which is very low-profile.
