I didn't see a thread on this so I thought I would make a thread for those awesome Christmas tree hunting photos. Share some of the Holiday adventure!

I went tree hunting yesterday way up in the mountains and I was very pleased with the 4.88's gears in the snow (not to mention OVtune). Truck moved with ease and was very fun to drive. Never needed to used anything, but 4hi. Coming down the mountain loaded with a tree, gear and some firewood all the way home was a big surprise with mpgs (see below). Got an OK tree...It was a bit of slim pickings, don't laugh.

You can see the tree sticking out the back about 4' with a bandana tied near the end...Short beds make it interesting sometimes.

Did a bit of walking for scouting at this location. Can barely see me in the clearing.

Little man helping decorate the result of the hunt...(I know, its a little different than your average tree, but it smells good and he loves it)

I’ve never heard of a Holiday tree. Christmas tree looks good though!

    Nice looking tree!

Only had about an hour of daylight to hunt for one this year but we got it done:

Did I read your OP correctly that you blasted a bear while tree hunting?

 I was gonna say that's one of the best opportunistic bear hunts I've ever seen.

Went up this weekend up in the mountains to try and find a tree. Hiked around and drove a bit but really could only find some really wimpy trees.
