I have no personal experience with any of them, but ticketclinic is the most advertised I've seen.

My recommendation is to always do the trial by written declaration. If, and that's a big IF, the officer takes the time to turn their end back in, the judge usually sides with the violator. In my experience at least. I never win my trials by declaration. Maybe I'm just a bad writer. Lastly, if you lose the written declaration you still get a shot in court if you want it.

Disclaimer: This is not legal advice.

I did the trial by written declaration for a ticket received in San Diego. I didn't win but I did request a jury trial for the appeal. For some reason, the courts were unable to respond in a timely fashion and I won by default.

Damn, didn’t know that’s a thing here. That’s a bummer since he was just going to work but I also need my shit fixed.

I wish I was driving the 4Runner. He would’ve gotten a hood full of swing out and steel bumper

does this CV look fully seated? it does not want to go in any more with medium persuasion. unfortunately, it's a AutoZone axle made by Duralast. it looked to be the same size as the oem axle but i only did a brief visual inspection.

bolt it up or take the axle out and mess with it some more?

Saw that one this morning, I personally like the one that has the bottom of the box cut out with a brick sitting on the ground underneath, a cable tied around the brick and a firing mechanism with a shotgun blank loaded in it attached to the inside of the box. Glitter sucks, but shitting your pants sucks even more.

Is it the drivers side? I couldn't get my driver's side to seat in as far as I did for the passenger side and I used oem axles. But I've never had any issues with it and I haven't had any leaks.

yeah, drivers. i thought it was supposed to seat right up in there but there's a 3-4mm gap on the passenger side so i think i may be ok.

edit: fucking fly-by-night gear shop gave a cut rate price but the fuckers stripped by front diff drain plug. debating whether to fight getting it off now or leave it for another day. i may need to get some help welding on a nut or socket to get it out.

General insurance question for whomever knows...

I was rear ended this morning and it's already been established that it wasn't my fault. The person who hit me has already filed a claim and I've already filed a claim with my insurance as well (but I haven't talked to the claim agent yet).

I don't want my rates to raise and since I wasn't at fault, am I better having his insurance cover the repairs?

I've never had to use insurance before as I've never been in an accident. I see differing things online and it looks like it's changed a few times in recent years.

The other dude is at fault. Should be his insurance that pays. You may want to go through your insurance for questions and to have them help you.

Let your insurance deal with their insurance. If it's not your fault, your rates wont raise, but you pay your insurance company to do things like this for you.

The list is long but distinguished
California is a No Fault state which means that your insurance will make you whole per the terms of your policy. Same for the other person. While that's getting sorted, the insurance companies will negotiate between themselves on the subrogation of the incident. In this instance your insurance will most likely request that their cost of your claim be covered by the insurance company of the other party. Happens all the time and is a standard process. Its rare that either insurance company will be liable for 100% of the total amount of the claims.
