I wonder if anyone has a repair manual / wiring diagrams for the dual vvti 4 runner. This would let us know pretty easy at that point.

No problem Matt! You have already made it a better drive with what you have sent me.

TCU data is on a second microcontroller inside the main ECU. the problem is getting this data off of it.

most toyotas, including the tacoma has these as well. Which has a lot more trans control, pressures, clutch pressures for each gear, for various temps, etc.

    With regards to tuning.

I have noticed my Long term fuel trims are ALWAYS positive anywhere from 3-7% regardless of IAT's, Elevation etc. To me sounds like the MAF is reading a little low and rescaling to reflect a 3.5% increase in flow at set voltages might be a way to go about this? Thoughts?

I would use the MAF compensation table for engine rpm v load 3D

Australia got the short end from Toyota. Even the brand new Lexus vehicles being sold over there are STILL K line.

You cannot even adequately data log with that acient communication protocol

    Hey Matt,

Since it will probably just get missed in the thread, I wanted to congratulate you on your TT setup. I think you've got a winner with that one.

Interesting. What would the difference be?

My initial thought was to essentially multiplying all the numbers in the volts to lb/h table by 3.5%. Thus registering more airflow which should bring fuel trims down closer to zero (so open loop stuff isnt far off from commanded)

But the maf correction table (in HPT its RPM vs Throttle plate position). Currently has some corrections down in the high throttle plate openings and LOW rpms which is understandable. I guess i could put the same 1.035 multiplier in there across all the cells in that 3d table as well to achieve the same? (assuming these corrections multiply the read lb/h figure)

Set up a graph in the VCM Scanner with RPM vs Throttle Angle and populate it with a custom math parameter averaging your trims. That'll tell you where you need the correction and how much. But I agree with Matt in this instance. If you're running the stock (ie: calibrated MAF housing), the error is likely elsewhere and should be compensated for in the MAF Correction table.

Now if you find the same error across all throttle positions, then you can put stock in your MAF Calibration needing tweaking.

your fuel trim is flat line exactly that much regardless of any rpm or load?

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Can you create these graphs from previously recorded data or is this something you need to setup prior to data logging?
