    Which bank and sensor is this? I am throwing a code and looking to just replace that sensor. Truck is at 227k so I figure the sensor could be bad and not just reading some other issue going on. Plus its an easy start and that sensor has paid its dues either way. hahah.

    Magnuson Kompressor, OME lift kit, JBA Headers, junky Sony radio.
    It is the O2 sensor AFTER the catalytic convertor. The front one ( closest to the engine ) is the Air/Fuel sensor also called the Bank 1 sensor 1.

    Hello, welcome to tacoma world :)

    As said above, bank 1 sensor 2 is the rear sensor, behind the catalytic.

    bank 1 sensor 1, the front one near the engine is, depending on the model year, an Air/Fuel sensor (2000 and after) or a regular o2 sensor (before 2000)

    Only get DENSO sensor. Toyotas are known to be picky with other brands

    As for part number, what engine and transmission do you have?

    Agreed with above, only get Denso sensors for these trucks. Anything else is likely to cause further problems. And watch out for fake Densos online, if it's ridiculously cheap it's likely a fake.

    The one after the cat is easy to get to. The wiring connector for it is under the passenger seat but not hard to pull up.

    Ya. I guess that would help. haha. Its a 3.4 AT but not sure exactly which auto. Its a 4x4 ext cab if that helps. Or where can i find the actual trans model anyways. I need to know this for my fluid flush. Seems there are multiple options. Thanks guys!!

    Plug your VIN into partsouq.com and it'll tell you which part number you need for it. There are a variety of rear o2 sensors based on your truck's year and options

    for auto trans ext cab, you need
    $70 DENSO 234-4189 Oxygen Sensor
    DENSO 234-4189

    YOu can find the transmission model on the vehicle information sticker on the driver's side door jamb, lower right corner. It will be written A340... or R150...

    Automatic transmission fluid calls for DEXRON II but it has since been replaced with DEXRON III

    Do not put anything else than DEXRON III. DEXRON 4 and above are a completely different formula and should not be put in a D-III and lower transmission

    Do you think the 44 dollar denso o2’s on rock auto are fake? I’ve heard of claims of fake denso from them in rl.

    Id be very wary...Rockauto is usually a decent place to get parts but 44 bucks is at least half what they should cost
