    Hey TW

I need to disable the auto locking feature on my 02’s door locks.
This is the most annoying feature of more “modern” vehicles! If I want my damn doors locked, I will do it myself!
Aaaaaaarrrrggghhh! That shit drives me mad!

Does anyone know how to turn this off?!?! If so PLEASE ADVISE!!!!

    Thank you

Howdy - The auto-lock feature was disabled when I removed the Gulf States Toyota Alarm System. I see you are in TX. Most likely your truck has the GST system.

Check the following link. Also search for "Gulf States Toyota Alarm System" in the 1st gen section.

On my 99 model, the alarm system kept leaving me stranded. So I made the choice to remove the whole system to avoid future problems.

If I had the EWD If it has the Added Alarm doubtful if you even have a print

Something sends voltage to the door locks the trick is to make sure nothing else is disabled causing more problems.

the auto door lock on mine is a feature but only if the doors are closed when i turn the key. it does not lock when "moving" only before it's turned on. it also does not lock if one door is open when I turn the key.

I've disabled mine years ago cause it only worked if doors were shut so was kind of moot.

if you have the RS3200 you can disable the lock (I think it's "ignition" or "key on" lock) with a sequence. I'll have to see if I can find the manual.
