The drivers side arm twisted while my customer was in Death Valley. The lift spindle is not bent. The trailer will be getting real suspension next. Either a arms and bags or leaf springs with shocks.

1tonhds03 long arms with 4 inch lift spindle.

It bent somewhere inbetween the water fall in Gholer wash and stripped butte. This was the trailers 2nd time through Gholer. Prior trips were Mojave trail, carrizo and southern Death Valley. About 1700 miles on it so far.

The owner is pretty conservative when it comes to off road, most of his adventures are solo trips.

You will like the 6000 pound breaks. You will probably be at 1 on your break controller.

A suggestion, add lash points in as many places you can as they will allow you to modify your tie down plan in many other ways. One ready made product that I really like using is “L track,” or as its commonly referred to, “aircraft tie down track.” It takes very little space but offers limitless possibilities. As you can see I’m a real stickler about safe storage of cargo and making certain not to lose it.

Hey man, sorry to see you’re having an issue with your Axle-Less trailer suspension. To help try and solve this issue, can you tell if the main bolt (at the pivot point) is loose? Is the trailing arm bent? Does it look like the twist is coming from the bushing at the pivot point of the suspension? Also, when was the last time you greased the bushings? Any info you can provide would help us solve the issue.

The plastic bushing at the pivot point has failed. It has more than a quarter inch of play. There was plenty of grease on all parts. I won’t know until later in the day if the arm is twisted.

Can this whole arm be swapped out to a 3500 pound unit? Or at a minimum the compression bushing swapped to a higher payload unit and pivot bushing replaced with a new one and or a stronger one.

Probably should moved this to email or pm so we don’t clutter this thread up. I emailed timbren a month ago about the rebound stops bending and am still waiting for a response from your engineers.

@Timbren-Industries has anybody retrofitted this suspension to a Taxa Tiger Moth with a C channel frame. I have been considering it and to run Toyota wheels just not quite sure yet what would need to be done. Box that section of the frame maybe? The whole camper weighs maybe 1500 pounds at the most with no brakes it's pretty lite. It has a Dexter axel now with a 2.5" lift and I don't want to go much more than that. I don't mind overkill with the suspension as far as weight capacity goes

    Casper66,

After talking to our support team, the Axle-Less would work if it’s bolted to the channel as long as there is a cross member above the aeon spring and the cross bar that connects the left and right suspension together. Please shoot us a DM and i can get you in touch with support to clear anything else up if needed!

    Hopefully this helps!
