The tint in the old days turning purple was just fading of cheap tint. The ammonia would cause the clear protective layer to flake off. The newer tints are so much better. I haven’t had any issue with the tint I have now.

    This and that...
Made it to Breck and back without incident this past Saturday. Due to the traffic not one plow was able to get on I-70 Eastbound which caused some issues for those special few that don’t take road conditions, tires, drivetrain, and gravity under consideration. Once you passed those special ones it was smooth sailing.

Edit: Wildpeaks did well in this shit, but was defiantly wishing for some blizzaks.

Oh and I just got the bushwhackers back from paint; also a new fuel door, because for some reason, they don’t last more than five years.

Ceramic tint will not fade and is more resistant to scratches. Like Cowboy @CowboyTaco assumed, the times have changed. My tint is guaranteed for the life of the vehicle, and that better be north of 300k miles. :)

The place that did my windows also did our new building with the same tint. Guaranteed us that it would never fade.

Just think Ceramic if you're in the tint market. I personally recommend 3M products, they have very seldom let me down.

I tinted all types of windows in the 1990's. There's pretty good money in it but it's seasonal work. A friend of mine does art with tint on windows and he's pretty good at it.

Definitely not seasonal here in Arizona.

As for glass cleaner, Home Depot sells some in a blue and white can called "World's Greatest Glass Cleaner", and judging from my experience with it, it's exactly that. Pretty reasonably priced, too.

Not today but went tree hunting on Saturday up around the base of Mt Mcloughlin. First time taking the Taco up in the snow. Did amazing! Unlike my boss's massive Dodge haha

These designs are entirely made of window tint. The bent spark plug was on my F150.

I made a skid plate for my Tacoma today, it's actually more of a cover than a useable plate. It's 1/8" aluminum.

Now I'm starting to change the exhaust a bit by swapping the muffler and looking into changing the tail pipe's location to in front of the rear tire.

Upol tintable bedlined, I did my bumpers, mirrors, door handles, flares and about an inch or so of the headlights.
I love it and it's tuffer than steel, oh, also just did a bed rack that I just made about a month ago.

^This ceramic is where it's at, just had mine done front as well, it's a noticeable difference inside and even better with a windshield screen when it's parked as well. Don't feel the hand bake in the sun. BUT, $400 is pretty f'ing pricey, but I have a lifetime warranty, they'll replace for free. Worth it to me here in Florida
