The bearing in my a/c cluch is failing so I cut the belt for the winter. I would like to disconnect whatever it is that bumps the idle up when the defroster is turned on as this time of year here it’s normally on. Any suggestions?

I think the easy way would be to just unplug the AC amplifier plug should be to the left of the blower motor.

As the idle up is via The ECM.

Where do you live you don`t need defrost via the AC I would need to keep both windows open to see .

I can under stand the budget to tight to replace the clutch

NH. Defrost works fine without the a/c compressor but I would kinda like to disable the clutch coil and whatever it is that drives up the idle when the clutch engages. Figured a few have done it... maybe there is a fuse...
