Roundabout way to get black wheels

    Hi all! Back in August 2019 I purchased a 2019 Tacoma SR5 Double Cab in Cavalry Blue. I really liked the look of the truck, even though I ended up buying it with the silver SR5 wheels while I did really prefer the look of the black SR5 wheels. It wasn't a deal breaker, so whatever. I then proceeded to enjoy the truck for a good solid 3 months - a road trip to NY, a couple trips to the racetrack, and some very light modifications.

    Things were going great...until....it was rear ended by a Wrangler while parked along the street in South Philadelphia. :eek::censored: You might say that I was less than happy about the situation, though my girlfriend actually said that she's never seen me so mad. I would think she's maybe over exaggerating a bit, but it's good to have as a high water mark if nothing else.

    So after three weeks of wonderful conversations with my local insurance agent, the tow yard, the towing company, the assigned repair shop, and personnel at various levels of the insurance company........it was declared a total loss due to the estimated $25k worth of damage!

    While not a happy story for my first Tacoma, I began shopping for a new one (in some haste as the snow had begun in central PA and I wanted more than two wheels underneath me). So, the second time around, the stars seemed to align to where I got a decent price on......a 2019 Tacoma SR5 Double Cab in Cavalry Blue (sound familiar?). I figured that had the vehicle I wanted the first time, so why change it? But, this one came with the black OEM wheels!

    So a long boring story and definitely not the most direct way to swap wheel colors, but here I am. I look forward to learning quite a bit here and likely being talked into spending some moolah on this second one.
