Any vendor selling assembled OEM bearings is going to get a flood of orders, him and the dude from Jersey I got mine from took more orders than they could produce. Not getting parts you paid for in a reasonable timeframe tends to make people complain.

Jersey guy straight up ghosted and took people's money. You are correct with the people not liking to wait which is why I bought the ones from the local parts store.

2 caliper bolts, 1 brake hose bolt, slide caliper off, slide rotor off, 4 bearing bolts, bang, yank, or beat bearing assembly off. I could do it beside the freeway if I had to.

I did do it kinda in a Ingles parking lot not far from the HWY. One went to complete shit only thing holding it in was the axle. Limped it to the exit. Found a good Samaritan that gave me a ride to the parts store and did it in the parking lot of the store. Then the Army band showed up and hung out played some while I was changing it out, it was pretty funny experience.

Getting to start all over :)
Just bought a pair. Amazing shipping and great quality. As close to OEM you can get with better bearings and cheaper!

~300$ for a pair is a really good price. Especially from someone doing the work personally. IMO way better than Rock Auto parts that require great reliability.

Those seem like a great deal, anyone have any experience with API hub assemblies?

Ummm mine started to death wobble going 70 down the curvy ass mtn. highway and not one stud snapped. And I have spacers. It was wobbling so bad it pushed the caliper all the way back so I had no brakes. He may have had some shit studs or something. That's still scary AF.

A 12x1.5 bolt/stud can take a lot of torque before it yields and stresses to the point of snapping or having issues. Think about this Ford torque specs for some of their vehicles running 12x1.5 is 150 lbft. Others are 100-110 so going a little ham fist on ours isn't going to hurt them.

Were there any warning signs (i.e. howling, etc.) prior to the death wobble? Seems crazy to just all of a sudden let go.

Yes the brakes felt soft compared to normal. The rotor was wobling pushing the calipers back like after you do brakes and have to pump it a few times. Slight vibration in the steering wheel. So they were loose just slowly got worse and worse until they let loose and were unsafe to drive any more. Unless I get a very loud roar or growl they are hard to hear over M/T tires and my truck cruising at Hwy speeds.

Those are just Dorman assemblies (stated in the link) sold with a higher NAPA price. Been running the Dorman's myself with close to 20k miles on them and no issues. Can't say Dorman makes the greatest products by any means, but their lifetime warranty and willingness to stand behind their products make them a viable option (for some at least).

Holding up great so far, only complaint is the surface rust but I guess that will wear off/even out over time. Kicking myself I didn't think to paint the assembly before I put it on.
