Got home from work at 8pm and had the munchies a bit. Wife reminded me that we had some cream cheese stuffed jalapeño poppers I brought from the frozen aisle at Target. Directions called for 11-12min in a preheated 450f oven or deep fried for 5-6min.
I put 4 in my air fryer which only goes to 430f and set the timer for 13min. Figured it heats up fast but would still need a minute to get to temp. 6min in the cheese is starting to ooze out. I flip and let it go another few minutes and pull them out. Maybe 9 minutes total.

Fuck me but I burned the shit out of my lip when that lava lime cheese oozed out when I bit into the first one.

    And the second one.

    And the third one.

I am a slow learner but I really did not expect it to heat up so thoroughly throughout the popper.

They do stay a bit warm for a long time. I let mine rest for several minutes then cut them in half. They cool a little faster that way. And them things are gooood!

I was mostly shocked with how hot they got all the way through so fast with air vs a big pot of oil.

Actually I agree with you on that. I don't do nicer cuts like prime rib (my favorite) with sous vide. Cheap cuts of steak I'll sous vide for about 4 hours and then pat dry and reverse sear. Makes it super tender and flavorful. But any good piece of steak I don't use my sous vide. It's great for pork chops too.

Air fried ribeye.. just a small one so it wasn't a waste if it failed haha and some broccoli cheddar rice (not made in the air fryer)
Steak was 400F for 7 min then flip for another 7 min!

Pretty damn tasty especially for an air fryer! IMG_20191214_182044587.jpg

The wings we made in the AF were crisp, moist, and waaaay too much salt. Because wife likes a lot of salt. We have salt on the table, dammit.

Got this recipe idea from the neighbor girl...

Air fried chicken breast that was marinaded in Italian dressing then coated with panko bread crumbs that I added Parmesan cheese, black pepper and some of my homemade ranch seasoning mix to.

360F for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

(Pro tip: cut those GIANT breasts into smaller pieces for a more even cook)
