What fogs are those?

I’ve been in the market for new fogs but this looks like a decent budget friendly option.....

 

It's a royal PITA when the film melts to the lens. I DON'T recommend it for lights that get toasty lenses. Acetone and razor blade will remove.

 

Goos to know. Do the stock fogs run hot?

 

That is good to know. I got some to try but didn’t like the color. I wanted a reddish tint, but the ones I posted looked super orange once on.

 

Forward facing red on the front is illegal on federal and most state highways. Not my business but JSYK. It usually gets pulled off during the roadside stop by the owner.

I don't know. I'm running yellowish LEDs.

My melty fun was on my subie with bulb conversion.

 

Amber LaminX over factory fogs, they go on fairly easy. However I have had issues with them having a few bubbles in the vinyl. I may redo them to get it right this time.

It's reccomended by LaminX that the vehicle be in motion if the fog lights are on with the film to keep from melting.

Did you replace the fog light housing with the sR5 one's? Or do the 2020s come with those already fitted on there?

 

Those are the stock 2020 fogs. Just with yellow lamin-x over the lenses.

 

Sorry, I meant to ask about the "Fog Bezels", the black plastic that surrounds the fog lights.

She got ceramic coated, under coated and interior protection today. Still glad I removed the OR stickers. I really like it without.

 

What did you use for undercoating?

 

Not sure what it is yet. I haven’t gotten under the truck and I didn’t ask. I do know it’s got a lifetime warranty and is checked at every one of my maintenance periods. If it needs touched up or replaced the company that did it is notified and it gets touched up or replaced.

Had it not been part of the deal when I bought the truck I probably would have done fluid film myself. For the record. There isn’t anyone around here who does non-commercial fluid film applications, so I wouldn’t have much choice. We’ll see how it works out.

 

That's it, I'm convinced, taking my bed stickers off. That looks really good.

 

FWIW- I used a heat gun and an old plastic card to work up the corners enough for me to he able to peel them off. Word to the wise, get yourself some Stoners Tar Remover. Spray it on a microfiber and not directly on the paint. After you have it clean, wipe the area off with something like a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol/water mix and dry. Hit the area with some quick detailed afterword. That way you get the glue off and then clean the tar remover off the clear coat. It’s supposed to be clear coat safe, but I don’t trust that. Then you put a layer of protection over it with the quick detailer until your next cleaning.
