What is the meaning of "Bump" ?

When looking through the forums people will just insert "Bump" . I have been unable to figure out the meaning.

 

People will read the original post and then write "Bump " to place the post back into the public eye as it may have been buried in the pages of the forum. You may also see GLWS (Good Luck With Sale) as an alternative for someone selling something.

Not going to lie a lot of times I type whatever Internet slang I don't understand into google to help me figure it out and it 95% of the time will give me the definition.

 

Welcome aboard. Bump is also an easy way to follow a post.

 

This would be a great time to explain “sub’d” to the OP. And, perhaps, “OP”.

 

Also how to do a search before starting a silly replicated thread. If you have a question SEARCH FIRST before you start a new thread. Use the search “titles only” feature to narrow your search.

Many also use 'ttt'. To the top.

Also if you'll ask any legit questions in a proper (not that we mind) forum like "General or BS or Tech, it gives credit for your post count, in case you want to use the for sale forum. Bigger post count, more of a community member. Of course just like real family it doesn't mean I'm any better liked.

I've always wanted to just type some random letters, just so someone will end up spending 20 minutes on google trying to figure out what it means, lol.

I usually end up being the one using the googles, though.
