Did you remove it? I don't see it any more.

Also, I bet it was a deleted thread.

Maybe I’m not getting something here, but why do you need a front view camera? Isn’t that what the windshield is for?

I didn't realize whitepony's comment was there, so I moved it up...then it took yours off...I guess you can only have so many lines at once...let me try something, you deserve credit for that master piece.

I would assume that the camera is meant to act as maybe a spotter would in rough terrain where you can’t see down over the windshield, but still, seems to me all these things just keep people from actually having to learn how to operate their vehicle.

also, who’s gonna take that huge tundra (or other full size truck) on a rock crawling trail where that would be necessary? Maybe I’m wrong.

just more fancy gadgets to keep consumers drooling I guess.

Thats what I was thinking, like yeah a front camera is good when you're rock crawling on your tacoma/fj/4r but on a Tundra?

Front camera is super useful for any number of narrow trails where you break over a crest and cant see shit but the sky, but are simultaneously trying to not drive off a cliff. I use mine a ton. Also, we can all dick swing about how we're perfect drivers and its for women, but Ill be the first to tell you that Ive used mine in parking lots with super short spaces to get as close to a wall as I can without lovetapping it.

Also, Tundras are pretty great on trails. Dont bash it til youve seen one in action. Weve wheeled with some beasts of full-size trucks before, as long as the owner doesnt care about pinstripes theyll go 95% of places tacos will go.

I also use my cameras for parking. I don't wanna be "that guy" that is parked to far to one end of the parallel space.

That all said, Im still hopeful for an electric or hybrid Tundra. Give me 25+ mpgs or an etruck with 500 miles of range and Id swap the orange monster for one

Exactly why I don't think I'll be going with anything larger than 33's

I’m looking forward to when not only hybrids but full on electric trucks are implemented successfully as well, though it will probably be a while for them to be both parts reliable and affordable. But seems the capability and performance will blow combustion engines away

True I’m not speaking from experience at all, and I’m glad tundras can do things. my main point I guess would be I don’t see that sort of a feature as a deal breaker or something that would really ever be present on a short list of pros and cons when comparing trucks. It is a little gadgety luxury and for those that need it, an easy add on. But vehicles nowadays are full of unnecessary gadgety luxuries even trucks. It’s probably to distract away from and make up for the lack of real progress in the past decades when it comes to improving the actual drivetrains of these things. Gas mileage and efficiency has barely risen on trucks, so they need something else to keep people upgrading.
    Enter the electric truck??
