Not ready for a new bumper. Haven’t even found a plated steel one I like. Schrock works look decent but everything I see sticks to far out.

what to do. Need better lighting. Have led in the mains. I tend to be minimal in my approach.

I can save like $4k estimate for bumpers or get a quick fix for lighting. I’m saying bumpers as lights in bumpers.

don’t really want a roof light bar cause of noise. Spent a lot on hifi and am sensitive to noise. Truck is dynamated.

anybody have a good pic of front lighting that doesn’t stand out?

I read through that thread thanks. I live in OR and have a front license plate but the 20” bar looks nice. Guess I’ll save for a bumper dunno.

First of all get rid of the LED headlight bulbs, the halogen housing doesn't work with LEDs and makes your lighting worse. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

You could retro fit to projectors
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/post-your-1st-gen-retrofit-01-04-only.361552/

Or do the ultimate headlight upgrade (link is for 2nd gen but I think there's one somewhere for 1st gen also)
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-h4-not-led-or-hid.398066/

    Hope this helps you some

This. LEDs in the stock headlights perform poorly.

    This will perform outstanding: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-h4-not-led-or-hid.398066/

Here is the 1st gen spin off thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/proper-headlight-upgrade.407879/

Seems like half the vehicles around here have LED bulbs in older cars and they're either not aimed at all with one light searching tree tops and the other facing the bumper or its good ole boys in their jacked up fords running LED headlights aimed right into the windshield of every vehicle they meet. I'm so sick and tired of being blinded every stinking time I drive at night.

Thanks for the 1st gen link. I actually need to read thru it again myself and start gathering the parts.
