I’m looking for help tracking down a wobble. Going 45+ MPH I hit the brakes and my steering wheel shakes. If I jack the truck up I can move the wheels side to side approximately 1/2 inch with a clunk noise in the steering. I’ve replaced the inner and outer tie rod ends and both wheel bearings. There is no leaks in the rack and pinion. I’m at a loss. I’m thinking a bad rack but it’s not leaking or making any noise. I have 32” tires on it with toy tech coilovers.

Put new rotors on or have them machined. You sure you aren't moving both wheels when you shake one ire or the other and probably just moving the gear mesh in the rack and seeing the backlash from that

I’ll try that when I get home and just jack up one side. I did jack both up so that is totally a possibility. Thank you

More than likely you are feeling the rack backlash.

The proper way to check all types of steering linkage takes 2 people. Leave the truck on the ground. Have your helper wiggle the steering wheel back and forth. Put your hand on each joint and feel for play. For the inner tie rod ends, squeeze the bellows and feel the joint inside. If there is looseness, you will feel it between the ball and socket. This also works for steering shaft U joints and rag joints. Finally, feel between the rack housing and the frame to check the rack bushings. You will need to tell your helper, "a little more, a little more, a little less, etc."

Warped rotors. You've probably got a sticking caliper piston.
