    ...or so my sources say... and for whatever its worth, I believe my sources are absolutely reliable. Seems to be a 2022-23 release so a lot sooner than I would have expected that to happen.
    Going by the latest trends... Hybrids can have better MPG, HP and Torque so if that were the case...
    Would you buy a hybrid taco?

    I am okay with it as long as they don’t make it a RWD truck with electric motors for the front wheels. I hope they make it a fully integrate it into the drivetrain, or use the hybrid system to power some type of boost system.

    15 years ago? No way. But the hybrid tech has come a long way. I would absolutely own a hybrid at this point

    2022 as a MY 2023 is not new news, we knew a few years back from an inside member here who is an engineer that we'd be getting the 4th gen on the TGNA-F platform to be shared with the new 4runner and tundra for 2023. I figured a hybrid was coming based on the influx of Toyota survey questions regarding such.

    Yeah I hope they don't try to make it much larger, I would appreciate a little bit bigger back seat space but I still want a small-ish truck.

    Thats the Tundra Mule. I doubt the 4th gen gets much bigger if at all. Curious how much of a redesign as our 3rd gens share ATON with the 2nd gens (frame, etc.), with the new TGNA-F platform it will definitely be a new gen rather than a highly refreshed one, that being said, I'll wait a few years in to see what problems arise.

    I would. I have a few hundred pounds in bonus metal strapped, bolted, and (soon) welded on. These Toyotas don't get amazing mileage stock, and mine has really taken a dive since I started modding it. Then the cold hit and took another couple MPG off...

    Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
    i have a feeling by "share" it'll be like the old tundra and taco. Alot of the parts were the same, but the frame itself was larger.

    my 05 tundra is built just like my 01 taco. just with a larger frame

    Honestly, electric motors on the front wheels, with a standard RWD transmission sounds amazing. Ditch a lot of the weight/complexity of the transfer case, front axle, etc., and layer the batteries beneath the cab to keep center of mass low. You wouldn’t have any issue pushing enough power to the electric wheels to keep up with the rear wheels in crawling sorts of situations, and the electric-only would be perfect for dealing with slow around-town traffic. Damn. Might make me want a new truck.

    I had this idea to wrap the front drive shaft with an electric motor and then separately locking hubs. You could have on demand electric boost and charging. Super simple system with a manual

    You'd modify drive shaft to have magnets on either side, then big brushless DC motor
