Why doesn't toyota put keyless start with a manual?

Wow that's messed up.

 

Because push button starts are stupid. Had to deal with rental cars that had keyless start and i wanted to push the fuckin cars off a cliff. Its like i had to go through a whole goddamn launch sequence to start the car, and i was constantly unsure wheither the damn thing was turned off before i got out.

Absolutely stupidest "feature" ive ever encounterdd on a car. How fuckin lazy do you have to be that putting a key in the ignition and turning it is too much effort.

 

Get in, foot on brake, push button versus get in, foot on brake, turn key.

Stop, put in park, push button versus stop, put in park, turn key.

If you can't figure that out you probably shouldn't drive anything.

 

Clearly youve never driven one. Its not that simple.

 

Everyday actually. Both my truck and my motorcycle are keyless.

 

Launch sequence:

1 Apply brake
2 Stop vehicle
3 Place in park
4 Push Start/Stop button.

Houston we have shut down.

A bit dramatic. I have a pb, its push vs insert and turn. "How lazy do you have to be?" Your rant goes from launch sequences to laziness. Conflicting statements.

Hand cranking our V6 doesn't sound like fun. Maybe if we had one of those kinetic starters like WWII German tanks.

It starts with bending-over and grabbing the crank. It can only get better from there.

 

Now the real question is, what type of grab should i use? I heard mixed reviews.

 

I opt for left-handed and backwards. Feels like someone else...

Yes, it is vey simple. The fob lives in my pocket at all times and only comes out to sleep on my dresser at night. I go out, touch the handle, the door unlocks. I get in, apply the brake and push the start button. When I’m finished driving, I step on the brake, put it in park and push the button. That’s really all there is to it.
