The center dash of my 09 has that storage/cubby spot under the selector switches and power outlets. is there an aftermarket insert that would allow me to make a clean CB radio install? I know there are other ways of doing this, I'm just wondering if this is an option.

The only part of that whole assembly that pops out in that area is the double cup holder in front of the shifter. I doubt there's a kit for what you want to do. You're looking at something custom I believe.

Looks clean! Did you do it yourself or have it professionally installed?

I fabbed it myself. I took a double din radio surround and cut it to fit and cleaned it up then used some scrap ABS plastic to fab up a sliding bracket for the iPad to slid into and stay held in place and cleaned it all up with bondo and paint then ran the wiring down to the single din head unit to power it and use as an amp as well as maintain sat radio, radio and CD capability. I’m in like 25$ iirc excluding the iPad. 4D1348DA-7B89-4712-A329-F26B24A6F9DA.jpg

Nice, do you have a back up camera hooked up at all? The previous owner of my truck installed an after market back up camera and head unit, but the screen on the head unit sucks and is too old for my phone to connect so I'm starting to look into other options.

No I’ve seen some Bluetooth ones out there that are okay but I get along just fine without a backup cam lol. If I were to do a back up cam with this setup I would just get the rear view mirror back cam setup off Amazon.

When I first got the truck I thought about getting rid of it but I figure it'll be use full when needing to back up on switchbacks or what ever. I've had the truck now for almost 8mo and still forget it's there most of the time lol. If I can save some money and salvage the camera I will but if keeping it turns out to be too much of a pain in the ass then I'll probably just live without it.
