Minor rim damage

Hello wise TacomaWorld members,
Due to a minor parking lot oops, (read someone backed into me) I have some minor scratches on my fender flare (not concerned) and on on my rim. It's a truck, I bought it to do truck things so I'm not worried about cosmetics, but how prone are the stock grey rims to corrosion? I found several threads about rim damage, but none that specifically answered this question. The scratch does appear to go through all layers of paint.

If you are speaking of steel wheels, bare metal will of course rust.

 

Touch up paint is cheap and in this case, it doesn't need to be an exact match and will last years in the glove box.

Buy it for the flares and use it on the wheels..
